CACAO NIBS

Cacao nibs are cacao beans that have been fermented, dried, roasted and cracked into small pieces. They taste like very dark chocolate, with a nutty crunch and no melting. Ours come from cacao grown in Malaysia.
If you're new to nibs, start with the Salted or Super Cacao Nibs, which use a little organic molasses to soften the bitterness. If you already love dark chocolate, go for the unsweetened nibs. Sprinkle them on oats, yoghurt and smoothie bowls, fold them into cookie dough, or eat them by the spoonful.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you eat cacao nibs?
Use them like chocolate chips or chopped nuts: on breakfast bowls, in baking, or blended into smoothies. See our Cacao Nibs 101 guide for more ideas.
Are cacao nibs the same as chocolate chips?
No. Chocolate chips are made from chocolate with added sugar and melt when baked. Cacao nibs are pieces of the cacao bean itself and stay crunchy.
Which cacao nibs should I choose?
Raw Cacao nibs have the purest, most bitter cacao taste and are best for cooking and smoothies. Salted nibs add a savoury touch, and Super Cacao Nibs are lightly sweetened with molasses, so they're the easiest to snack on.
How should I store cacao nibs?
Keep the pack sealed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. After opening, an airtight container helps them stay crunchy.
